THE MASTERS OF IMPRESSIONISM IN SAINT GERMAIN BOUCLES DE SEINE

Impressionist painters left an indelible mark on art history, capturing the ephemeral beauty of light and nature with an innovative approach.

Although often associated with the landscapes of the French countryside, some of these artists also found their inspiration along the picturesque banks of the Seine, notably at Chatou, Croissy, Bougival, Le Port Marly, …
At the heart of these landscapes, the Impressionists discovered a scene rich in colors, textures and changing atmospheres. The banks of the Seine and the charming villages offered a real visual playground.
On the territory, the most famous painters of this movement set up their easels in the open air along the banks of the Seine highlighting our landscapes, thus making the Saint Germain Boucles de Seine territory shine throughout the world.
